Bath Hour, Home Spa

12/19/2014 - 11:22

Line up some time to have a proper long(ish) bath.

You will need:

1-2 cups Epsom Salts (Sel d’Epsom)

Body scrub (see recipe here)

Pumice stone or similar for feet and rough spots

Face mask (see recipes here)

Face washer/cloth

Essential oil burner/diffuser

Glass of water

Don’t forget your towel

Optional: book, flowers to float on the top

First: freshen up the air in the bathroom, open windows for a while beforehand (leave open in summer if you want)

Then set up your oil burner/diffuser with a relaxing blend (what ever you feel like or try this).

Quick fix: Open window and spray natural room spray like Lavender room spray.

Prepare Body Scrub and Mask while waiting for the room to 'relax' and draw the bath; test for the right temperature.

When the bath is filled, add the Epsom Salts and a few drops of the same oil you are using in the diffuser (always do this after the bath has been filled so as not to disturb the oils).

Make sure you have everything else you need before getting in!

Relax and luxuriate in your soak. Do the body scrub first, face mask second and pumice stone for feet last.

Visualise breathing in white and breathing out (getting rid of) grey gunk. You will feel relaxed, calm, and gorgeous!

Quick fix: if you don't have time for the bath take 3 mins extra to do the body scrub/mask in the shower.
