The holidays are an amazing time to get together with family and friends, but what to do with all the left over wrappings? Here are a few ideas to help with the clean up, have some fun, and re-use as much of the 'mess' as you can:
- encourage everone to help sort things
- save the good stuff for your own craft projects during the year
- if you’re not into crafting so much, check with your local school to see if they would like donations of materials
- re-use the cards to cover storage boxes
- re-use wrapping paper to replace bubble wrap when posting items during the year, either shred it or just scrunch up the paper around the items, more environmentally friendly than buying new bubble wrap and looks better
- donate your used stamps from your cards to a charity, Oxfam for example run a program for used stamps, but many other charities and schools run programs to help raise money
- anything left over - into the normal paper recycling
